About me

I was born in Austria, grew up in Mexico City, Mexico, and came to the U.S. for college and graduate school, got married, and here I am, living life in my third language, English.  In Las Vegas, it's a little bit like being back in Mexico, as there are a lot of Spanish speakers here, but as for German -- not so much.

For work, I am lucky enough to have turned my passions into my profession, and I run a boutique translation business with my twin sister, aptly Named Twin Translations. And yes, we really are identical twins. Dagy lives in Vienna, Austria, and we take advantage of international time differences to get a lot of work done in the very early morning/late night.

In my free time, I love to travel, especially internationally (after all, I have to visit several home countries!), read serious literature in my three languages, play tennis, train for my sixth half marathon, cook good food, spend time with friends and family. I also love supporting the arts here in Las Vegas, and go to the theater, concerts, speeches (last week: Daniel Schorr from NPR at UNLV), concerts, etc. For community work, I serve on the board of directors of a local non-profit, CLASS! Publications.
